Software as a Service

New BPM Platform

Software-as-service is a way of providing software applications over the internet, rather than installing them at a customer's premises. It allows users to access their applications from anywhere, using only a standard browser, without the need for complex IT installations or ongoing IT operations administration costs. The actual applications are installed (hosted) once on a remote server somewhere on the Internet, and can be configured to support multiple customers (multi-tenanting). The combination of Internet-hosted servers, data farms and cheap broadband access that facilitates this way of delivering software is known as ‘the cloud'.

Business Process Management and SharePoint

Accelerating business processes with SharePoint and Singularity

SharePoint Server (MOSS) 2007 is fast becoming the content and document management system of choice for the enterprise. Singularity provides deep integration to SharePoint Server 2003 and 2007 as well as full interoperability with SharePoint Portal Server. Organisations can leverage the power of SharePoint's document management and presentation capabilities integrated to Singularity's market leading business process workflow automation technology.

Highlights of our integration to SharePoint

Singularity business processes and workflows can create, store, retrieve, update and delete any documents held in SharePoint Server

Document creation, routing and approval can be graphically modeled by business users then executed without IT intervention

Tasks and documents are routed to the right person at the right time automatically

Documents can be accessed from SharePoint Server and displayed via Singularity interfaces or via SharePoint Portal

Singularity business processes can monitor for SharePoint server events such as the creation or update of a document

These events are used as triggers to initiate and control the flow of business processes e.g. an approval workflow can halt and wait until a particular document has been received and stored in SharePoint

Highlights of our integration to SharePoint Portal:

Singularity visual workflow interface components such as work-queues are available as SharePoint web-parts

This enables Singularity workflow solutions to be delivered to end users via SharePoint Portal interfaces

Standard SharePoint web-parts can also be made available via Singularity's web-based interfaces
